DESCRIPTION

Hill site near the Jamaican south coast stretching from NW to SE. It is located 15km N of Treasure Beach. Drive up from LZ to launch takes approx. 40min on narrow asphalt road. We put down some old carpets at the launch pad to make launching easier for beginners. Coastal anabatic sea breeze typically from S (note: in case of strong trade winds from NE, not launchable due to cross or tail conditions) Anabatic flow normally dominates the trades for wind speeds up to 15kmh.

Gentle grassy carpeted launch site, allowing take off in direction from SSE to WNW.

landing

Grassy meadow belonging to friendly farmer. LZ is visible from launch site. If cows are grazing in the plot, we suggest not to land there. In that case an adjacent meadow can be used for landing. We also use a sports field at N17.946 W77.727.

going

Site can be reached by normal vehicle, even though the last part of the road is eroding and not maintained.
