DESCRIPTION

This site is within Restricted Airspace and it is frequented by many helicopter pilots and training aircraft. Contact and get permission from Cork ATC before Flying. Also contact Cork ATC when finished flying. Experienced pilots only! There is no bottom landing. Do not go Down... slope land anywhere if you have to. This is a very windy site. Sometimes you will get 'Sea-Thermals' here. dont get too high as you will be in restricted airspace.... Cork Airport is nearby

Extreme wind. do not get blown over the back. The normal wind is double what the current 'Cork Airport Weather report' indicates... see www.xcweather.co.uk You will certainly land in the sea. If the wind turns to the northwest, then you will be unable to return to your starting place or the top landing field.

follow signs for 'Old Head of Kinsale. Take off in on the WEST side of the 'Old Head' peninsula.
