A Water rescue support boat should be waiting below in the event of going down into the water.
Wear a LIFE JACKET when flying here.
DO NOT attempt an XC from this site.
Dont go over the back.
This island is a bird sanctuary.
The path to the take off is dangerous and exposed.
Access
Hire a boat from Portmagee. It is a 12km trip out into the Atlantic Ocean to get to the island
Also regular tour boats leave daily from Portmagee.
Rules
There is a Military NO-FLY ZONE beside the site.
The Island of Skellig Michael marks the Northern corner of this NO-FLY ZONE.
Do not fly in here.
If flying from the SE side then please keep left of the take off ONLY.
