DESCRIPTION

This site was first established and tested almost 10 years ago, only recently it was further developed and able to accommodate many pilots to launch in sequence. The view is spectacular, but the airspace is very strict.

By flight : Langkawi International Airport, then take taxi to Gunung Raya. By ferry : you can embark either from Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis jetty, disembark at Kuah town jetty and take taxi to Gunung Raya. The site is accessible by car to the resort at the mountain top.

This island has an international airport and very strict airspace rules applies. Please coordinate with local operator for the detailed flight path and NOTAM arrangements. DO NOT simply walk up and fly this site without prior arrangement with the local operator, else strict enforcement by the local authorities over un-informed use of airspace.
