This site offers a 1046 ft top to bottom and is a good south easterly site with easy top landing and hugh bottom landings. It was not used much for a while due to Beinn-y-Phott offering more reliable thermal activity but more recently Slieau Ruy has made something of a come back. Evening glides to the Crosby pub are possible making the walk up more rewarding.
Rdge runs possible to Greeba to the southwest, Colden, Baldwin and Bein-y-Phott to northeast.
Access
Park at the three way (triangle) junction on the Eyreton rd and walk up the track to take-off. Quite a long walk, but well worth it. Access by 4x4 no longer allowed.
