DESCRIPTION

An ideal car-free paragliding destination. Winds are usually light and cross in morning and straighten out before noon. Stronger winds in afternoon enable ridge soaring. A fairly mellow and straightforward flying site.

Arrive in Yelapa by water taxi from Puerto Vallarta. Walk up dirt trail from town to launch in about 20 minutes. No cars in Yelapa.

$5 US per day to fly; $50 seasonal membership paid to local gringo pilot. No local radio frequency established.
