New APPI Self-Assessment and Co-Validation Feature Manu Bonte (10914)

We are delighted to announce the launch of an innovative new feature on the APPI platform: skills self-assessment and student co-validation. These functions aim to engage students more deeply in their learning journey while strengthening communication with their instructors.
Self-Assessment
We have implemented a self-assessment section where students have access to all progression content and can self-assess on the items of each qualification, either independently or at their instructor's request. This feature offers a valuable tool for instructors, allowing them to compare their analysis with the student's perception, thereby refining their pedagogical approach.
Co-Validation
In continuation of this approach, when an instructor validates a qualification item, the student now has the opportunity to respond directly via their personal dashboard. Using intuitive icons, such as a green check to confirm their understanding or an orange triangle to signal gaps, the student can express their feelings about each skill validated by the instructor. Additionally, a comment space allows the student to share their reflections with their instructor, opening up a new channel for constructive dialogue.
This innovative approach pursues several crucial objectives. First, it places the student at the heart of their progression, making them an active participant in their learning. It also offers a comprehensive view of training content, allowing the student to better understand their learning pathway. By fostering exchanges between students and instructors, these features create an environment conducive to more effective and personalized progression. Finally, the co-validation provides additional security for the instructor when awarding a rating, ensuring that all items are properly co-validated by the student.
These new features are part of our ongoing commitment to improving the learning experience within APPI. By encouraging a reflective approach and strengthening dialogue between students and instructors, we are convinced that we are contributing to training more aware, more competent, and safer pilots.
