Dynamic soaring

Dynamic Soaring certification means that the pilot has flown in ridge soaring conditions involving flying in steady laminar wind.


To enroll in APPI Dynamic Soaring Course, an individual must be certified APPI 2 progress, or be holder of a rating equivalent to FAI IPPI 2. Have the minimum age in accordance with local rules (Federation/ Civil Aviation/ Army, etc), and have the authorization of a parent/guardian if of minor age.


Emphasis is put on mastering various take off techniques in steady wind Knowledge about high wind flying specifically, risks and safety procedures.


Minimum of 10 flights in dynamic soaring. Able to top-land autonomously in an easy environment.
