Flying on Falkland islands is a rare and unique experience! Not so many people have done it. Respect the nature, and enjoy flying!
Access
Take the FIGAS place to Saunders island from Stanley! There are pretty much no other ways to get in. The owners of the settlement will most likely wait for your arrival and give you a lift to the settlement.
Then getting to the take-off is a 20-30min walk from the settlement.
Rules
Pretty much everything on the island is a private property.
Please ask the permission and advise the landlords before flying.
Don't fly when the FIGAS airplane is coming in.
Don't fly in other parts of the island, especially near the penguin and albatross colonies,
WEATHER
Suitable weather for flying is quite rare. Mostly it is too windy, or bad weather, or altogether. Chances of good weather are higher in summer (DEC-FEB).
