Strong thermal activitiy during summertime, the southface of Dobratsch is very cliffy. Not suitable for beginners. Beginners may fly this site in Winter.

access

Drive up the Villacher Alpenstrasse. Warning: toll is EUR 13.- from April to Oktober (sometimes even November), check www.villacher-alpenstrasse.at Drive up until the last parkig lot (16,5km), park your car there (no parking fee). Follow the walking path up to the big sender on top. Approaching 12er Nock after 45min (has a cross on it, last hill before the top). regulation

There's a shield up there, demanding you should not fly, when cows are grazing up on the Dobratsch. Since you are probably not crossing their way, I think that should not be a problem.
