- Les carroz d'araches

DESCRIPTION

Araches for all pilots:
from Araches, go towards 'Les Carroz' and 500m after end of village (bakery) stop your car near the advertising 'atterrissage vol-libre'. Follow the path going down under the trees and cross a swamp. Usually turbulent in afternoon since wind comes from the big 'Balme' cliffs, 300m west from landing zone. Good and quite easy at morning and evening.
Les Carroz (Les Flocons Verts) only for good pilots:
enter in 'Les Carroz' ski-station. In front of Tourism Office turn to the left and stay on this road. turn to the right after garages, and stop down of a big grass field.
Landing is a downward slope with crosswind in the slope and big thermals over the field, especially at the top near the apple-trees. Try to land at the top of the field, between the apple-trees and the big pines
