Classic Vancouver Island logging road.Typically strong thermic conditions. Sometimes a strong inflow comes from the Port Alberni inlet.Access
Hiking access (two main routes), or a 4x4 high clearance + paint-you-don't-care-about vehicle with a gate key.
Rules
HPAC insurance required. HAGAR required (Class E airspace, and close proximity to an active aerodrome with frequent aircraft traffic). FLARM recommended as you're flying with sailplanes.
Call the Alberni Valley Soaring Association (250-730-7627) the morning of your flight to notify them of paragliding activity.
