Launch is at 7777 ft and at a fire observatory, which may be locked 1.35 miles from the top.This is a cliff launch! It is near the top of the peak which has an observation tower. Glide to LZ is very easy, just don't get below 500 feet from launch!
Access
From Reno, take hwy 395 North to Janesville. Take the Janesville grade road to the top of the grade. Follow the signs to Thompson Peak.
