Access
Most of the butte is BLM land but the Main Launch is privately owned. Drive in from the East side of the Butte by the dump and then make your way west to launches. You may drive to the bottom to retrieve pilots via Deer Flat Road
Rules
Instructing students on this land is unauthorized as it is not an insured site.

WEATHER
West launch is for west days. Main Launch is good for NW to NNE winds. Kalbus launch is NNW to NNE. Expect high pressure, dry air and valley inversions which will make for small, broken punchy thermals. Great glass offs in the evening and smooth laminar wind in the mornings.
