<p>APPI Pro Instructor Workshop Report – India</p>

<p>Overview</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The APPI Pro Instructor Workshop was successfully conducted from 01st November to 14th November 2026 at Temple Pilots School & Club, Kamshet, Pune, India.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The workshop was led by Master Instructor Avi Malik (10135) and Instructor Roland Dorozhani (10768), who served as the workshop staff and evaluators throughout the program.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A total of 08 participants were registered for the workshop, primarily from India, with additional participants from countries including Nepal and Lebanon. Most attendees possessed substantial experience in tandem operations and pilot training activities.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>To ensure effective learning and comprehension, the workshop was delivered simultaneously in English and Hindi, with individualized attention provided according to each participant’s experience level, learning needs, and language preference.</p>

<p>Training Program</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The workshop consisted of an intensive and comprehensive training schedule combining advanced theoretical instruction with practical field-based assessments.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Theoretical Training</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Participants attended extensive classroom sessions covering the APPI Professional Instructor curriculum.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Theory sessions were conducted for approximately 8–9 hours per day, utilizing a combination of:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Whiteboard instruction</li>
<li>Multimedia presentations</li>
<li>Projector-based lectures</li>
<li>Video analysis and demonstrations</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<p>These sessions focused on enhancing participants’ technical knowledge, instructional methodology, risk management awareness, and understanding of the APPI educational framework.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Practical Training and Evaluation</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Following the classroom phase, participants progressed to practical instructor fieldwork where their teaching abilities, instructional techniques, and operational competencies were assessed.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>APPI Pro-Level validations were conducted for participants who successfully completed the required theoretical and practical evaluations for their respective certification levels.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Additional Development Measures</p>
<p> </p>
<p>To further strengthen participant competence, the workshop was extended beyond the standard curriculum and included:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Additional homework assignments</li>
<li>Extended theoretical study requirements</li>
<li>Practical exercises using the APPI Session Tool</li>
<li>Supplementary online examinations</li>
<li>Additional assessments of teaching methodology and instructional effectiveness</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<p>These measures were implemented to raise overall professional standards and ensure a deeper understanding of the APPI system.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Results</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Of the 08 registered participants:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>07 participants successfully achieved the Instructor In Progress (IIP) rating. All seven candidates previously held the Assistant Instructor rating.</li>
<li>No participant achieved the full APPI Instructor rating during this workshop.</li>
<li>01 registered participant did not attend the workshop.</li>
<li>Ankush Takve, an already qualified APPI Instructor, attended the workshop as a refresher participant.</li>
</ul>

<p>Conclusion</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The workshop proved to be a highly positive and rewarding experience, characterized by intensive learning, professional development, and strong participant engagement.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Overall, the event was a significant success in promoting and strengthening the APPI Education and Rating System at the professional level, particularly within India and the wider Asian paragliding community.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Temple Pilots School & Club remains committed to supporting instructor development and looks forward to organizing additional APPI Professional Instructor Workshops in the near future.</p>
